In vivo skin analysis poses significant challenges due to the complexity of its heterogeneous structure, the variability between individuals, and the need to preserve its integrity during measurements. Traditional techniques often struggle to achieve high-resolution data without invasive procedures, limiting their applicability in dermatological and cosmetic research. Addressing these challenges requires non-invasive methods capable of delivering precise, reproducible, and comprehensive molecular insights into the skin's structure and function.

The RZ-660, based on Raman technology offers a robust solution to these challenges by enabling in vivo analysis at micrometer-scale resolution. This work highlights the application of the RZ-660 for investigating key parameters related to skin characterization and monitoring topical products penetration. The data, processed via dedicated algorithms, reveal variations in lipid conformation and hydration across volunteers, emphasizing the system’s ability to address inter-individual variability. These results underline the potential of in vivo Raman spectroscopy for advancing our understanding of skin structure-function relationships and optimizing the formulation of topical treatments.

This work demonstrates that the RZ-660 is a reliable and precise tool for molecular skin analysis, opening opportunities for future applications in dermatological research and cosmetic science.
