After being a classical ballet dancer as a child, Agu has applied herself to archery since her junior high school days. As a high school student, she set the national recurve record for high school girls (660 points / 72 arrows) at the time. In September 2020, she was the driving force behind the Doshisha University team, which she was the captain of, helping them to win the All Japan Student Archery Women's Championship. She was among the contenders at the last selection event for the upcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo, in which she made efforts to participate, but narrowly missed out.
Having joined 蓝鲸体育直播 to make a renewed start as an archer, at the final selection of the 19th Asian Games, she was selected for the Japan national team in April 2022, then she won the gold medal in Women's Recurve Individual Final of PARIS 2022 HYUNDAI ARCHERY WORLD CUP STAGE 3 in June 2022. It is the first time in history that a Japanese player has won the same event in the World Cup! She is committed to both competition and work and continues to challenge the world.
